Every year there is a new group of young people who meet at fun-filled weekly rehearsals to learn a dance routine to be performed at the ball. No prior dance experience is required. After-parties

Following each rehearsal there is an after-party held at private residences of one of the former Quadrille dancers or at a bar/lounge near the rehearsal location. The parties are a great way for participants to relax after the rehearsal, get to know each other better and have fun in a casual atmosphere. There is music, drinks and food and fun.

Ball

At the ball the dancers have already become really good friends and enjoy performing dressed up in white dresses and tails. The ball is held at the elegant ballroom of The Pierre Hotel. During the ball a full-course dinner is served. There is dancing to live bands until 4 AM. Lots of fun is had by all.

Financial Responsibilities

The Quadrille Ball is a benefit for the non-profit organization The Germanistic Society of America which awards scholarships to graduate students. The price of the ticket to attend the ball is $500 per person, however the dancers are entitled to a special discount price of $250. In addition to the ticket price, all ladies must pay dress rental fee of $150 + $50 for accessories (tiara, gloves and dress hoops). All gentlemen must rent a white-tie ensemble for $130 unless already owned.

Requirements

To be eligible to participate as a dancer at The Quadrille Ball you must be:

Note that even if you match all of the above requirements, you are not guaranteed to be selected to dance in the upcoming ball due to space limitations. If you are not selected to dance in the upcoming ball, you can still attend the ball at the discount dancers' price and will be guaranteed to be selected to dance in the next year's ball, provided you still satisfy the requirements above.
